Jumble

1) if you wake up and go outside and look at the sky about an hour before sunrise, you can see Venus and Jupiter very close together in the east, about a third of the way up from the horizon.

2) The tree on last tuesdays post ended up not being torn down. In the pic on Wednesdays post, the four trees in one direction were torn down, but the one tree in the other direction, the one in my photo, is the one that was saved. I talked to the Leader of Government Business when I saw him in the parking lot and talked to him about that tree. I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it, but they were out there re-surveying and measuring and that tree will not be torn down. Seeing and talking to the Leader of Government Business is kind of like running into the President of the US on the street or at the grocery store. It can only happen in a small country.

3) Yesterday, I went to the Brac for the day for work. It was very busy there. We had a truly Japanese rental car. This is the stereo.
I’m going back next weekend too, for work.

Sick yesterday

Tuesday night, I went to bed at 5:30 in the afternoon. I slept all the way through till about 6AM the next morning, then went to work and was miserable all day, sneezing and coughing and sweating and freezing. Yesterday, I called in sick and slept all day and all night last night. Today I’m back at work, feeling a lot better.
Just in time for the weekend YEAY!!

Overloaded

I’m overloaded at work, I think I have a $12000 piece of equipment that is the wrong thing, and may turn out to be a waste of money. (I didn’t order it thank God, my old retired boss did)
And I’m trying to install new studios while the construction guys are breathing down my back about tearing out the old studios.
I can take it though. I’ll git ‘er done.

A week of Mondays

T.G.I.F.
Fer cryin’ out loud, this has been a long week. And everyday has been like a Monday. Drag my ass out of bed, thinking “aw crap, that weekend was too short, another frikkin’ Monday” Not really thinking it, but feeling it.
Now it’s Friday, and I am glad!

My Right Toe

I have two big toes, one on my left and one on my right. I seem to be biased to the one on my right. Or vice versa. I only hurt my right big toe.
A couple of months ago, I fell up the stairs, and bent my toe way backwards and ripped the guts out of my shoe and it hurt really bad. Now my toenail is all black and bruised underneath and I rekkkon six months for the discolored part to grow out.
Yesterday I swam the mile, and when I was walking back to my car I stubbed my bad toe on a grapefruit sized rock. I looked up and down and it was the only rock on the beach.
The thing is, I only hurt my right big toe. As long as I can remember, I’ve called it my bad toe.
I must lead with my right foot.

Careless & Worthless (C&W)

I am so tired of being ripped off by our phone company. Cable & Wireless, aka Careless & Worthless.
I can’t remember anything they’ve done right the first time. Ever. I switch plans, and it doesn’t happen, I have to go there twice or more. If I move, and need to switch my phone to the new place, it doesn’t happen.
I return an item, the credit doesn’t appear on my bill.
No matter what it is, Careless & Worthless will fail their customer, at the customers expense.
Perfect incompetence.
Zero first time success rate on any task, they need constant pressure and supervision to do it after their deadline. And you better get everyones name you talk to there.
The Cayman Islands used to have the world record for the highest phone rates on the planet. Maybe they still do.
Careless & Worthless, The only game in town.

Engaged

I asked her, she said yes. She didn’t hesitate, she just said “Of course I’ll marry you” and began hugging and kissing me. I had to tell her to quit it and look at the ring.
She likes the ring, too.
